The Winter Roads Act repeals the studded tire ban.

- If we have slippery roads with snow, ice and mud, it is okay to have winter tires with studs, says Petter Wahllöf, who is group manager at the traffic police in Karlskrona.

"Good to be out in good time"

As recently as last week, the April weather offered snow, slipperiness and cold in Blekinge.

Petter Wahllöf is aware of the problem that the tire change workshops are fully booked and it can be difficult for many to have time to change on time.

- It is good to be out in good time, but there is a certain understanding during a transition period from us police officers who work outside, he says.
