Agents of the National Police arrested a man wanted in Bilbao for the alleged sexual assault of two underage brothers.

The arrested man took advantage of the absence of the parents of the 12 and eight-year-old children to, for approximately a year, abuse them and attack them if they refused to do what he wanted.

The arrested man carried his brother's documentation and practiced several security measures so as not to be identified by the Security Forces and Bodies.

For these events he was sentenced to 18 years in prison and had three legal claims issued by the Spanish authorities for crimes of sexual assault, fraud and discovery and disclosure of secrets.

The events, according to the National Police in a note, date back to 2015 when the parents of the victims reported that their children, aged 12 and eight, had been victims of sexual abuse by a neighbor and relative of children.

This person took advantage of the absence of the parents to abuse them and, if they refused to carry out any type of practice, he attacked them by various methods so that they would accede to his wishes.

Sometimes he beat them with a belt or pricked their fingers with the point of scissors.

So that his parents would not suspect the origin of the injuries, he insisted that the injuries had been caused by playing and by chance.

With all the information, and given the seriousness of the events, the investigators traveled to Alicante to gather as much information as possible regarding the whereabouts of this person.

After the first investigations, the police confirmed that the fugitive lived with his current partner in a town in Álava, although he kept many security measures so as not to be discovered.

Finally, the fugitive was identified when leaving his home and, after confirming his true identity, since he presented a document in the name of his brother, he was arrested due to the different legal claims that were in force.
