“Get me out” .. a video documenting the moments of panic among New York train passengers

The New York Times published a video clip documenting the horror that prevailed among the passengers of a train carriage at a station in Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday morning.

The newspaper obtained the video clip from a man who identified himself as Rafael, who was on board the train carriage that was attacked, injuring 16 people, including eight with gunshot wounds.

The New York Police said, "Before 8:24 am this morning, when the train headed towards Manhattan was on its way to reach the 36th (Street) station, a person on board that train wore a gas mask, took a (smoke) package from a bag And open it up."

She added that the train was filled with smoke, so the person started shooting and injured several people on the train and on the arrival platform.

The man who filmed the video was on his way to work in a small grocery store, and the video shows what happened during the first moments after the shooting.

A woman's voice can be heard saying in Spanish, "This just happened, this morning," and several shocked people appear surrounded by smoke filling the wagon.

An injured man asks for help from those around him: "Can you help me get down? .. My leg hurts so much."

The woman advises them to wait and says, "Wait, everyone is going crazy now."

Then the train brakes are heard, and the woman around her is again advised to wait until people come out for fear of a stampede because of the panic that hit the passengers.

New York Police Commissioner Ketchant Soil confirmed in a press conference that the authorities are treating the shooting at the New York train station as an incident and not as an act of terrorism for the moment, adding that there are currently no active explosive devices.

Sowell said the suspect, black, was wearing a 5.5-foot (1.67-meter) gas mask, a green construction worker's uniform and a blush-colored hooded jacket.

Two New York Police Department security sources confirmed to CNN that a pistol was found at the scene.

Police had said it was not clear what was behind the attack.
