It appears that the Västernorrland region, together with the Norrbotten region, has the highest proportion of older regional politicians.

Older than the population
Admittedly, Västernorrland has a higher proportion of the population aged 65 and older than the national average.
But where just over half of the regional politicians are 65 years and older, only 24.4 percent of the county's population is.
- It is of course problematic.
It is very important that the existing representation gives a picture of the entire population and it obviously does not, says Nina Orefjärd (V) group leader.
