Narumi Kurosaki, a 21-year-old Japanese student, disappeared on December 5, 2016 in Besançon, where she had come to study.
His body has never been found.
After three years of investigation, her former boyfriend, Nicolas Zepeda, was extradited from Chile, where he is from, and indicted for murder in July 2020.
The trial of the 31-year-old Chilean, who has always disputed any link with the disappearance of his former companion, began on April 5 before the Doubs Assize Court.
Advocate General Etienne Manteaux requested this Monday before the Doubs Assize Court the life imprisonment of Nicolas Zepeda.
The latter is on trial for the 2016 murder of Narumi Kurosaki, 21, his former Japanese girlfriend whose body has never been found.
"I demand that Nicolas Zepeda be found guilty of the murder of Narumi Kurosaki and sentenced to life imprisonment," he said.
