It is the Swedish Board of Agriculture that has decided to set up checkpoints in connection with the ports where many of the refugees arrive.

At these checkpoints, the agency's veterinarians will examine the pets brought from Ukraine.

The Volunteer Automobile Union Blekinge, FAK, are the ones who have been commissioned by the Swedish Board of Agriculture to set up a reception tent for animals in connection with the ferry terminal in Karlskrona.

It will be the second tent to be set up.

Previously, a reception tent has been set up in Nynäshamn.

- They say that every tenth refugee has a pet with them.

So it feels great to be able to make an effort for those who come here, says Rolf Svensson at FAK-Blekinge.
