The Russian army fired missiles at several infrastructures and buildings on Sunday (April 10th) in the Dnipro and Luhansk regions of central-eastern and eastern Ukraine respectively, Ukrainian authorities said, causing the destruction of an airport.

The governor of the Dnipro region, Valentin Reznitchenko, said that the rescue services went to a site hit by a bombardment in the town of Zvonetsky.

A death toll will be given later, he added.

On Telegram messaging, the governor also said that Dnipro airport had been hit by the bombardments.

"The airport itself was destroyed, as well as nearby infrastructure. And the rockets fly and fly," said Valentin Reznichenko.

Earlier in the day, he said that in Dnipro, one person was injured.

Dnipro airport had already been hit on March 15 by a Russian bombardment: the runway had then been destroyed and the terminal damaged.

"Overnight, high-precision missiles destroyed the base and headquarters of the Nationalist Dnipro Battalion in Zvonetsky, which also recently received reinforcements from foreign mercenaries," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine, the local governor, Oleh Siniehoubov, reported on Facebook two dead and several injured in the town of Derhatchi.

"As you can see, the Russian army continues to 'fight' with the civilian population, because it has no victories at the front," the local governor said.

In the besieged Luhansk region, Oleh Siniehoubov said a school and a building had been hit by shelling.
