Attendo points out that a few administrators at the municipality are behind a large part of the development assistance decisions in the area where home care staff are suspected of having cheated in registering visits to users.

SVT Nyheter has taken note of the approximately 50 development assistance decisions in the area, and can see from this that the same administrator has also made several of the largest decisions where people have been granted more than a hundred hours of home care a month.

Attendo also considers this to be a task that stands out.

- What was special about these decisions was that they were large in number of hours and not substantiated with medical certificates and other things, Andreas Koch claims.

Started investigation

Uppsala municipality has hired an external company to investigate the information, something that is expected to be ready in the coming week.

- When we heard these accusations against the municipal authority, we immediately started an investigation.

We should not cheat, says Eva Christiernin (S), chairman of the senior citizens' committee.

SVT has asked the municipality's HR department about what happens to the affected administrators during the investigation.

Åsa Holmstrand, HR Manager for the Health and Care Administration, responds in an email:

"Taking into account the investigation and the integrity of our employees, we do not comment on individuals."

Did not mention the information

In an email sent to the municipality's politicians at the end of March, Attendo criticizes that the municipality called a press conference and announced that it would break the agreement with the care company, shortly after being informed of the suspicions of irregularities in its own handling.

"The municipality's actions may have led to it now being more difficult to investigate the extent

," writes representatives of Attendo in the email.

The municipality also did not mention the suspicions of its own involvement in its press conference.

In the clip, Eva Christiernin (S) is asked why they did not do it.
