The first comment from America on the appointment of Moscow as the new commander of the war in Ukraine

On Sunday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki commented on Russia's appointment of the new military commander of the invasion of Ukraine, known as the "Butcher of Syria."

In an interview with "Fox News", Psaki said that Moscow's appointment of General Alexander Dvornikov as the new commander of the invasion of Ukraine "confirms what we have already seen on the ground in Ukraine, and this is what we expected."

The White House spokeswoman held General Alexander Dvornikov, the new military commander of Operation Invasion of Ukraine, "responsibility for the atrocities we saw in Syria."

Russia turned to General Alexander Dvornikov, 60, one of Russia's most experienced military officers, according to US officials.

The general has a record of "brutality" against civilians in Syria and other theaters of war, according to what the Associated Press quoted a US official as saying on condition of anonymity.
