Campaigns all year round

The head of the Jordan "Mojadidun" Association, Rami Abu Al-Saman, confirms that the charitable campaigns and initiatives implemented by the association's team continue throughout the year, but they double in the month of giving.

Abu Al-Samen explains that the association has 3 programs that are carried out by volunteers: "We feed, we live, we empower":

  • We feed:

a program specialized in all feeding projects, such as charitable parcels, orphan breakfasts, and providing morning meals to more than a thousand children daily in the less fortunate schools in the Kingdom, in addition to distributing food parcels to chaste families.

  • Neskin:

a program that includes multiple projects related to the home and its contents, such as the Al-Noor housing project, which is intended to build housing units for widowed and divorced women who have no breadwinners.

  • We Empower:

An empowering program for the community and youth through a number of projects, such as the “Mostaqbal Project”.

Abul-Samen explains that they are about to launch it in “Mojaddideen” with the aim of “training the children of chaste families in the field of technology, and then employing them after training, and then they will become the breadwinners for the family. The training takes place in several skills, including: communication, team management, project management and others.”

Ramadan joy tent for orphans

The Al-Farah tent for orphans opened its doors again this year, according to Abu Al-Samin, after a two-year break due to the Corona pandemic, and returned to provide during the month of fasting 30 daily breakfasts for orphaned children in all regions of the Kingdom.

The tent includes many different entertainment paragraphs, which bring joy and happiness to the hearts of orphans, and volunteers participate in reviving the activities of the tent, in addition to distributing gifts and “coupons” for school bags and stationery.

Al Noor housing for widows and divorcees

Abu Al-Samen told Al-Jazeera Net that "the Al-Noor residence is for women who do not have a specific appointment, and we started its establishment in 2016 with the establishment of an apartment for a woman in the Ghor Al-Mazraa area in poverty areas, and so far we have been able to establish 6 apartments, and after the end of the holy month, the families that will reside in it will be selected." In addition to establishing small projects in the area, such as shops that can employ children of chaste families.

future project

Abu Samman believes that the idea of a "future project" came to support youth employment, especially that the percentage of young people under the age of 34 exceeds 70% in Jordanian society, and the stagnant majors are large and numerous, and unfortunately many young people graduate without finding work.

He added, "We saw that the field of technology and information is the field that will have a future. This specialization is in demand in the labor market, and accordingly we have organized a mechanism to train young people and employ them later, so that they can support their families."

These projects and programs are implemented by more than 1,500 volunteers during the month of Ramadan, serving more than 70,000 beneficiaries.

The impact of charitable work in our lives

Malak Al-Ashi has been a volunteer in the "Mujaddidun" association in Jordan for 4 years, and has been in charge of the media center in the association for a year. She tells Al Jazeera Net, "I went through several stages and assumed several responsibilities within the team, which had a significant impact on changing my personality and its development."

Malak (a master's student in special education at the University of Jordan) explains about her experience in "Mojaddoon", saying, "In the association, we have practical experience that simulates the reality of the job, especially after we assumed major responsibilities within it, since the management of the media center team has evolved on both the practical and personal levels."

She added, "As a student of special education, I studied a field away from media and advertising campaigns, but that was my passion, as the association greatly contributed to my development in this field through courses and training on working methods on social media platforms, and the creation of advertising campaigns on them."

She continues, "My leadership of the media center team taught me a lot of life skills, such as: communication and flexibility, in addition to accepting opinions and differences in viewpoints, and I certainly do not forget the great merit of charitable work and its impact on our lives in terms of success and facilitating our affairs."

She concluded her speech, "I can say that "Mojaddon" was the factory of my experiences, and the main place for my skills development, by opening the door to leading campaigns and examining all their financial and logistical details, leading to the launch of the activity and the distribution of donations to those who deserve it.
