According to polling data, the presidential candidate of the traditional right-wing Republican Party and the chairman of the Paris Regional Assembly, Pecques, ranked fifth with about 5% of the vote.

The presidential candidate of the traditional center-left Socialist Party, Paris Mayor Hidalgo, won about 2% of the vote.

  After the exit polls were released, Pecres, Hidalgo and French Green Party presidential candidate Jadot (4.5%) all said they would support Macron in the second round of the presidential election.

Melenchon stressed his firm opposition to Le Pen, calling on his supporters not to vote for her.

Zemour, from the far-right party, said he would support Le Pen in the second round of voting.
