In an Indian village, criminal gang members dismantled an 18-meter-long and 500-ton steel bridge and sold it as scrap metal, and the police have launched an investigation.

According to the Hindu, etc. on the 10th of local time, in early April, in the village of Amiyawar, 150 km south of Patna, the capital of Biharu state, India, workers dismantled an old iron bridge that was cut with gas cutters and heavy equipment.

The iron bridge installed over the canal in 1972 was discontinued after a new concrete bridge was built five years ago, and it is known that the villagers had asked the local government to dismantle it for safety concerns.

Because of this, the villagers believed without any doubt when the workers said, "The local authorities hired us to dismantle the railway bridge." After three days of dismantling the bridge, the workers loaded the scrap metal into a truck and disappeared.

The local government reported this to the police on the 8th after belatedly hearing this news.

An Indian police official said, "We have confirmed that criminal gang members are among those who impersonated workers.
