After the results of the first round of the presidential election were revealed, a demonstration of 500 people marched through the streets of Rennes this Sunday evening.
Anti-capitalist and anti-fascist slogans were chanted, reports AFP.
"The youth fucks national fascism, Le Pen fascist dynasty", or "Pinault execution", in allusion to the Breton businessman, could we read on the facades.
Street furniture was destroyed and windows of bank branches were damaged, AFP also noted.
In a square in the city center, a fire was lit with construction equipment in particular, requiring the intervention of firefighters.
