Magdalena Andersson began her visit to Blekinge by giving a speech and meeting members during the party district's congress in Ronneby.

From there, the Prime Minister then went on to F17 to, among other things, take a closer look at the Jas 39 Gripen.

The visit came shortly after the Sweden Democrats' party leader Jimmie Åkesson in an interview with Svenska Dagbladet opened to turn the issue around a Swedish membership in NATO.

- First we must decide what is best for Sweden's security.

That is why we have called the parliamentary parties to discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defense to make a thorough analysis of the new security situation, says Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, during her visit to F17.

"Meets the required criteria"

The Prime Minister was also asked how quickly Sweden can join NATO.

She then referred to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

- Sweden meets the criteria required for membership.

Stoltenberg has said that it can go quickly if Sweden decides to join, says Magdalena Andersson.
