Russia's war on Ukraine has entered its 45th day.

While Western countries continue to impose more sanctions on Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky renewed his demand for a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine has called on its allies to support it militarily in the face of the Russian attack, at a time when field reports indicate that the Russian army is planning to advance towards Kharkiv.

Dozens of civilians were killed in a missile attack on a train station in the city of Kramatorsk in the Donbass region (east). Kyiv accused the Russian forces of carrying out the strike, but Moscow responded in the negative.

In return, Ukraine announced that it had recaptured the city of Sumy (northeast) and most of the regions of Mykolaiv (south), while British intelligence reported that Russian forces had completely withdrawn from northern Ukraine to Belarus and Russia.
