In tonight's Aktuellt, Oscar Jonsson at the Swedish National Defense College describes how bombing of train stations such as the one in Kramatorsk on Friday has become part of Russia's strategy.

- The explanation for why you do it is twofold.

On the one hand, train stations are important strategic goals, and on the other hand, it is now part of the strategy to bomb civilians.

It is about terrorist bombings, to scare Ukraine to give up, he says.

Russia has bombed several train stations during the invasion of Ukraine, on Friday two missiles hit the train station in Kramatorsk in the Donbass region, a place where thousands of civilians gathered in an attempt to escape the battles expected in the area in the near future.

At least 50 people were killed in the attack, including 5 children.

Nearly 100 people are said to have been injured.
