Al-Alimi pledges to work to end the war and bring peace to Yemen

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, confirmed that the council, in which a presidential declaration was issued last Thursday, "is a council of peace, not a council of war."

Al-Alimi said, during a speech to the Yemenis, that the Presidential Command Council is a council of defense, strength and unity, whose mission is to defend the sovereignty of the country and protect the citizens. .

Al-Alimi affirmed the council's support for the government of political competencies, which was formed in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement, and its support for the reforms it is undertaking to solve economic problems, combat corruption and normalize service conditions.

He added that the council will stand as a bulwark against terrorism in all its forms, and will work to combat sectarian conflicts intrusive into Yemeni society.

Al-Alimi called on Yemenis and all national forces in the country to rally around the project to restore the state, renounce differences and rivalries, and direct all efforts to restore the state and its institutions and achieve security and stability.

In addition, field sources in Marib confirmed that the Houthi militia launched attacks on the Yemeni army and tribes on the southern, western and northwestern fronts of the governorate, using ballistic missiles and drones. The sources indicated that the army and tribes responded to the Houthi attack.

The militias bombed the city of Marib with a ballistic missile that fell in an empty area, while the Yemeni army announced that it had monitored 108 Houthi violations of the armistice on its sixth day, including 29 violations on the Marib fronts.

In Al-Jawf, 5 Houthi violations were recorded, and sites and trenches were developed in the Al-Rayyan desert area and the Al-Shahla area, and Houthi movements of vehicles loaded with drones and ballistic missiles were monitored in the vicinity of Al-Labanat camp, east of Al-Hazm city.

In Hajjah, the Fifth Military Region recorded 24 Houthi violations of the armistice, and the militias sent combat reinforcements to Haradh, Abs and Hiran.

In Al-Dhalea, the joint and southern forces recorded 34 Houthi violations, infiltration attempts and sending combat reinforcements to the Yais area, north of the governorate, bringing the number of Houthi violations in Al-Dhalea to 96 violations since the start of the truce.

In Taiz, military sources confirmed the failure of a Houthi attack in the Al-Kadha front in the west, and Al-Hukoum in the southeast of the governorate, while the joint forces on the western coast monitored 17 Houthi violations of the UN armistice in the "Hais" and "Al-Barh" axes.

Media sources spoke of a UN plan to neutralize the threat posed by the floating Safer reservoir off the western coast of Yemen, and to confront the risks of any potential oil leakage, confirming the parties' approval of its plan, which costs about $80 million.
