It was about a year ago that the incident occurred in the interior of Västerbotten.

The police received a call that a dog had been shot dead at a party and rushed to the scene.

Several people had gathered to celebrate Easter.

During the night, several people experienced that a 30-year-old man behaved drunk and threatening.

According to a witness, the man expressed that he would "shoot the dog if he saw it".

The man then referred to a dog that did not belong to him but used to run free in the area.

The company asked the man to go home and go to bed and eventually he disappeared.

The dog was found dead

When the owner went out to call the dog in, she heard a bang from the cottage the man had passed on to.

- The kids said that they had heard that it was small, says a witness in interrogation.

The dog was found dead and when police arrived at the scene, they saw traces of blood in the snow and on the platform of the suspect's pickup.

The next day, a pistol and ammunition were found in the suspect's car, for which he was not licensed.

When the police searched the man's address, additional weapons were found for which the man did not have a license.

The man is sentenced to prison

The man has admitted in interrogation that he shot the dog dead.

He believes that this dog mated with one of his dogs.

The man is now sentenced to two years in prison for a felony and vandalism by Lycksele District Court.
