The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, which is affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has completed decorating streets, bridges and roundabouts on Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland with thousands of illuminated geometric figures and formations, to celebrate the blessed month of Ramadan, with the aim of bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of community members, and to add an aesthetic touch to the streets throughout the holy month.

The municipality has implemented decorating many areas on the island of Abu Dhabi and the mainland with 3,100 shapes and light models inspired by many elements, such as: Ramadan cannon, stars, crescents, Ramadan lanterns, rosary, and palm trees, to give special rituals to the streets that mimic the spirituality of the holy month.

The decorations were installed in separate areas on Abu Dhabi Island, most notably the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and main roads such as the Arabian Gulf Street, Sheikh Zayed Street, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street, and King Abdullah Street, in addition to the installation of decorations in a number of internal roads, roundabouts, bridges and a number of islands belonging to the city. Ramadan decorations have also been installed in many external cities located within the geographical scope of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, such as Baniyas City, Mohammed bin Zayed City, Shahama City, Al Rahba, Mafraq, Al Shamkha, Riyadh, Shakhbout City, Al Samha, and a number of roundabouts, bridges and sites other.

On both sides of the roads, central islands, roundabouts and bridges, there are many luminous phrases that simulate the holy month and the Emirati customs related to it, in addition to hundreds of luminous geometric formations inspired by the decorations of ancient Islamic architecture.

The colors of lighting models and formations are harmoniously creative, in line with the nature of the occasion and the spirituality of the holy month, and the municipality was keen to update the lighting by introducing new colors.

The municipality was keen to ensure that the formations and light models that were installed within the decorations of the holy month of Ramadan are consistent and of appropriate sizes for the dimensions and spaces of the streets, to be safe for road users, including cars and pedestrians, as they are made of environmentally friendly materials, of high quality in terms of insulation and resistance to factors and weather changes. .
