"Jumbo Group" contributes one million dirhams to the "Billion Meals" initiative

Jumbo Group, which specializes in electronics and its products, announced a donation of one million dirhams in support of the "Billion Meals" initiative, the largest humanitarian initiative in the region to support the poor and needy in 50 countries around the world.


The contribution of the company and other institutions, individuals and business sectors supports the arrival of the "Billion Meals Initiative" with direct food support to those who need it most, especially vulnerable groups of children, refugees, displaced people and those affected by crises and natural disasters.


Donations from major donors and the public continued in the first week of the launch of the largest food support initiative of its kind, supporting its goals in assembling efforts aimed at extending a helping hand and support to those suffering from the challenge of hunger, malnutrition and food insecurity that affects more than 800 million people around the world today. . 


The "One Billion Meals", organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, contributes to providing a food safety net for those who cannot secure the basic ingredients they need to prepare meals, and suffer from difficult economic, social and humanitarian conditions in their societies. The initiative also supports the achievement of the seventh goal of the goals Sustainable development 2030 established by the United Nations, which is the fight against hunger.
