A note sent by teenage girls in a glass bottle saying 'I'm looking for a boyfriend' was found after 56 years.

According to the BBC and other foreign media on the 7th local time, volunteer Tracey Marshall (59) and her daughter were picking up trash along a river in South Perryby, Lincolnshire, eastern England on the 2nd on the 2nd. I found a glass bottle.

Marshall smashed the vial to see the contents of the letter inside.

Inside the glass bottle were two letters written by Jennifer Coleman, 71, then 15, and her friend Janet Blankley, 71, on August 9, 1966.

In the letter, Mr. Blankley introduced himself, saying, "I am 15 years old and I am not bad looking. I have long brown wavy hair and am 163 cm tall."

He continued, "I will exchange photos with people who are interested in me, but only men between the ages of 16 and 18 are allowed."

Mr. Coleman also wrote his home address in the letter, saying, "If you are a man between the ages of 16 and 18 who found this letter, please contact me. Let's exchange pictures."

Marshall, who found the glass bottle, posted a picture on social media saying, "I'm looking for the owner of the letter," and Coleman, who saw the post, commented that he was the one who wrote the letter.

"I've never thought about a letter since I threw a glass bottle into the river 50 years ago," Coleman told the BBC.

He then recalled, "I vaguely remember when we floated a letter on the river. We thought it would be fun to get a reply."

Coleman and Blankley, then living in Grantham, Lincolnshire, said they threw a bottle into the river on a day trip to South Ferryby, an hour and a half drive away.

"I and Blankley were close friends at school, and we spent a lot of time together during vacation," Coleman said.

Finally, he laughed, saying, "The letter I put on the river didn't work. He didn't find a mate until he was 49. After a long time, he found true love."

This is a 'news pick'.
