Wide optimism in the Houthi militia areas of the Yemeni Presidential Council

The Houthi militia launched a massive attack on the positions of the Yemeni army and tribes on the fronts south of Marib, in the first practical response to the calls for peace and negotiation made by the international and Arab community.

The media center of the Yemeni army confirmed that the militias launched a large-scale attack on the Al-Ayraf, Al-Amoud and Al-Faliha fronts, south of Marib.

The center stated that the army forces monitored the militias committing 95 violations of the armistice announced on its fifth day, on all fronts of the governorates of Ma'rib, Al-Jawf, Saada, Hajjah, Al-Hodeidah and Taiz, including the use of booby-trapped marches on the Al-Aarif front, south of Marib, which caused the injury of two army personnel.

Violations varied between 28 breaches on the fighting fronts in Taiz, 20 breaches in the fighting fronts west of Hajjah, 12 breaches in the fighting fronts surrounding Marib, 23 breaches in the Al-Barah and Hayes axes in Hodeidah, 9 breaches in the fighting fronts east of Hazm Al-Jawf, and 3 breaches in Front epaulettes spots.

Meanwhile, well-informed sources in the capital, Sanaa, confirmed the existence of wide tribal movements, along with many families with social weight, against the Houthi militia, as well as a state of great optimism after the formation of the Presidential Command Council, to end the war and establish peace.

The sources also confirmed the existence of direct channels of communication between those tribes and families in the Houthi areas with the new Presidential Council and a number of coalition countries, to create a tribal and social movement that leads to peace and end the war and encircle the Houthis who reject peace efforts, after their current international isolation.

The militias, in the words of the chief Houthi negotiator, Muhammad Abdul Salam, had rejected any channels of communication with the new presidential leadership council, describing it as illegitimate.

Today, Friday, the militias declared a state of emergency in their areas of control, led by the capital, Sanaa, and deployed many fighters and combat mechanisms in the streets and entrances of the city, on the impact of the interaction of many military, tribal and political leaders in the capital with the announcement of the new Presidential Council.

The announcement of the formation of a new presidential leadership council in Yemen by former Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi received a great Arab and international welcome, and sources close to the new president expected a new round of peace consultations with the Houthis next May.

Yemeni local sources stressed the importance of forming the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council on bringing peace and stability to the country, as it will lead the process of direct negotiations with the Houthi group, which was confirmed by Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Council states.

She explained that the Houthis have no choice but to take advantage of this opportunity if they want to stay within the framework of the upcoming Yemeni political map, and if they insist on their intransigence and rejection of peace gestures, there will be the option of a military resolution that will end their project forever.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, had confirmed the success of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations in establishing a new phase of peace, construction and reconstruction that will be directly reflected on the simple Yemeni citizen.

All regions of Yemen witnessed a significant recovery in the prices of the local currency, the riyal, against foreign currencies, following the formation of the Presidential Council, and the provision of a $3 billion deposit announced by Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni street is waiting for the new council to achieve more operations that lead to reducing high consumer prices, as well as disbursing salaries, improving electricity service in hot areas, especially the temporary capital, Aden, and imposing security and stability in the liberated areas.
