• Asturias Three adolescents denounced the detainee for the Oviedo crime after harassing them in a park

  • The police operation, destroyed: the girl from Oviedo died in his arms

Igor Postolache

had such a long history of complaints in

Oviedo

that he forced the Civil Guard, the Police and the

Justice

to intervene on several occasions.

The arrests and court decisions occurred in less than a year.

The tormented and recurrent personality of the person arrested for the crime of Érika, the 14-year-old girl who was allegedly taken to her house to kill her last Tuesday, is portrayed in the two sentences that crystallized after the complaints.

In 2019, the

Oviedo Court

sentenced him to a fine of 240 euros for an episode of harassment, in

Trubia

, a small town near the capital, to a young woman -for which the Civil Guard arrested him-.

And at the beginning of 2020, another magistrate acquitted him of the threats that four girls denounced separately.

THE WORLD has had access to this latest ruling.

"My reason is disturbed when I see you," he said to one of them, as stated in the sentence.

"I am getting nervous looking at you, I would like to put a plastic bag on your head," she continued before she escaped, the writing states.

This harassment occurred one night in August on a central street in Oviedo.

It was the last of the four complaints that triggered the trial.

Ten days earlier, on the same street, Igor had rebuked another young woman whose face he caressed while saying: "You're fantastic (...) Have men disappointed you throughout your life?"

The sentence also rescues another episode in which Igor approached a woman while she threw him: "You're very pretty, I like you a lot, do you want to come with me?"

Igor was acquitted.

The judicialized experience of these women adds to the complaint of other girls before the National Police.

On that occasion, they claimed that he harassed them in a city park.

There was no arrest as it was considered a misdemeanor.

Police officers were unaware that the Civil Guard had arrested him after the complaint in Trubia, which ended in conviction.

There was a subsequent arrest by the Armed Institute.

Currently, Igor had no record since they are canceled when six months of the sentence have passed and the harassment sentence is from the end of 2019.

This newspaper contacted three young people who denounced Igor.

Both are devastated after learning of Erika's tragic end.

“I have known him all my life, we were neighbors until he moved house three weeks ago,” says one of the girls, who initially did not report him.

She did so "a few months later, when arriving at the same bus stop" she saw "that she was cornering a little girl."

She and another woman freed the young woman and Igor ran off.

“I talked about it with a police friend and he told me that more girls had already been reported to him;

That's when I decided to do it."

Igor had lived in Oviedo all his life, although he is of Moldovan origin, and had moved to the block of buildings where he allegedly murdered Érika just 20 days ago.

"At first I thought he was a foreigner," says another of the young women he rebuked in one of the city's main commercial arteries.

«It was summer, no later than eight in the evening.

He was carrying a backpack and had an Eastern accent, I thought he wanted to ask me for some street, but he started making awkward comments », she recalls.

"Did men disappoint you throughout your life?" He launched another young woman

According to his testimony, he gave her as long as he could and at a certain moment he grabbed her by the wrist.

"That's where I got scared," he resolves.

With a jerk, she managed to let go and she went straight to report: "This will come to nothing," she says they told her at the police station.

But months later a court summons arrived.

«They put the four of us in a room with him.

That was very uncomfortable."

This is how the young women testified for a minor crime of threats.

"In the end, nothing happened to her, since she hadn't touched us... I cried when I found out that the girl's murder could have been his doing."

None of them knew each other, but they were all united by having crossed paths with Igor.

The third of the victims speaks indignantly: "All those complaints were a prelude to what could happen," she says, although she also believes that her case was different: "He didn't say anything to me, but it was very intimidating.

He looked at me and followed me for a long time ».

Along the same lines as the other girls, the young woman is “very sorry for the family;

They must be broken."

According to investigative sources, the alleged perpetrator of the crime remains hospitalized in police custody, although there is no fear for his life.

He was admitted to the

Central University Hospital of Asturias

with stab wounds.

Investigators have concluded that he self-harmed - a score of stab wounds.

Meanwhile, the city has turned to the victim's family.

In the institute to which the young woman attended, there have been numerous signs of her affection.

The teachers now try to support the narrowest circle of the minor.

"The girls don't understand anything, they don't know how it could have happened," says one of the teachers.

The funeral was held yesterday at four in the afternoon at the

María Inmaculada convent

in Oviedo, the first place where Érika's family was welcomed when they arrived from

Ecuador

.

Dozens of people gathered in the chapel to say goodbye.
