China News Service, April 8. According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Consulate General in Perth, on March 26, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Australia issued the "Latest Notice on the Requirements for Pre-departure Testing for Persons Going to China" (hereinafter referred to as "Notice"), the pre-departure testing requirements for people going to China have been adjusted, which will be implemented from April 1, 2022 (inclusive).

Those from Western Australia who really need to go to China are kindly requested to read the full text of the "Notice" carefully in advance.

In order to ensure that applicants test as required and apply for the health code smoothly, here is a reminder of the common problems as follows:

1. Testing location

  Those who intend to travel to China from Western Australia need to go to eastern Australia to take a flight to China. The nucleic acid test on the 7th day before boarding and the nucleic acid test and N protein test on the 1st day before boarding (or 2 nucleic acid tests within 2 days before boarding) are available. It can be done in the same city or in different cities.

Please find out in advance whether the testing agency provides testing on holidays (and weekends) and make reasonable arrangements for the itinerary.

2. Questions submitted to the embassy and consulate for review

  The city where the first test was conducted on the 7th day before boarding shall prevail.

If the first inspection is conducted in Perth 7 days before boarding, whether the test is conducted 1 day before boarding (for those who have received non-inactivated vaccine) or 2 days before boarding (for those who have received inactivated vaccine), the test will be submitted. Go to the Consulate General in Perth for review.

If the first inspection is carried out in the city where the flight to China takes off (Sydney, Melbourne) on the 7th day before boarding, it shall be submitted to the local Chinese consulate general for review.

3. Problems with testing institutions

  The three furniture qualification testing institutions in Western Australia are all located in Perth, and the embassy and consulates do not accept reports issued by other testing institutions in Western Australia.

  (1) Australian Clinical Labs (nucleic acid detection and N protein detection are available, reservation required), website: https://www.clinicallabs.com.au/ .

  (2) Clinipath Pathology (nucleic acid detection and N protein detection are available, reservation required), website: https://www.clinipathpathology.com.au/ .

  (3) Healius (Western Diagnostic Pathology) (nucleic acid testing is available, reservation is required, N protein testing is not available), website: https://consumer.healius.com.au/.

  If testing in eastern Australian cities (Sydney, Melbourne), it must be carried out in a qualified testing institution recognized by the Chinese consulate general. For relevant information, please check the official website of the corresponding consulate general, or contact the local Chinese consulate general for consultation.

4. Upload materials in a timely manner

  (1) Applicants from Western Australia must upload materials 1 day before the flight to China (for example, the departure time of the flight to China is May 4, and upload on May 3).

Before taking the test one day before boarding, please confirm with the testing agency in advance that the test report can be obtained on the same day.

  (2) The embassy and consulate will arrange special personnel to review the health code on weekends and holidays. After obtaining the test report, it should be uploaded through the WeChat applet as soon as possible, and the review progress can be checked online without the need for telephone reminders.

If the relevant materials are uploaded on the day of flight departure or before boarding, it will not be guaranteed that the review will be completed before boarding.

The embassy and consulate will not accept test reports whose sampling time is on the day of flight departure.

V. Vaccination issues

  In principle, applicants must be fully vaccinated and can apply for a health code 14 days after the second dose.

Those who have not completed the vaccination (if 2 shots are required but only 1 shot) are positive if the antibody test (any of IgG, IgM and N protein) is positive, they will be treated as those with previous infection history.

6. Upload the list of materials

  After obtaining the test report, please check the relevant information in the report (such as the applicant's name, gender, date of birth, etc.), if the above information is incorrect, the health code will not be obtained.

After checking, please upload relevant pictures according to the material list (it is recommended to upload after screenshots).

Please carry the test report (print or electronic version) with you for inspection by the airline when you board the plane.

  Upload material list:

  (1) The first nucleic acid test report on the 7th day before boarding;

  (2) "Self Health Status Monitoring Form (7 days)";

  (3) A pre-trip test report provided as required according to the vaccination status of the self (the N protein test report should be marked with the word Nucleocapsid);

  (4) New crown vaccination certificate;

  (5) Air ticket order or itinerary to China;

  (6) Passport, valid Australian visa (please do not upload utility bills, bank statements).

If the visa expires, a declaration form must be filled out at the same time.

  Persons with past infection history, close contacts, and persons with suspected symptoms must also provide relevant nucleic acid test reports involved in the recovery process, lung imaging diagnosis certificates, and "Self Health Status Monitoring Form (14 days)" as required by the "Notice". Supplements Material.

7. Rapid antigen detection

  The rapid antigen test report on the day of boarding does not need to be uploaded to the health code review platform, but should be carried with you for inspection by the airline.

Please contact the airline for specific requirements.

8. Do a good job of closed-loop management before the trip

  Those who plan to go to China should conduct closed-loop management as soon as possible (at least 21 days before boarding). Condition Monitoring Form (7 days)” (to be uploaded through the applet).

During this period, please do not go out to shop, party, eat or go to crowded places.

When going to the airport for check-in, you should wear an N95 mask throughout the process and take precautions to avoid infection during travel.

  The current epidemic situation is still severe and complex, and cross-border travel has a high risk of infection and transmission.
