Yannick Jadot wanted to send a last message to voters before the first round.

The leader of the Greens relies on two key pillars in this home stretch, "ecology is today the best ally of purchasing power" and fighting against the useful vote, "no poll gives Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the second round".

INTERVIEW

Invited from Europe 1, the environmental candidate Yannick Jadot wanted to convince left-wing voters of the credibility of his project, with the emphasis on purchasing power and the rise in fuel prices, the main priority of the French in this presidential election.

"If the French are hit by the expenses, it is because the previous governments did not invest in the insulation of housing and did not develop public transport."

But beyond his project, Yannick Jadot wanted to reassure the most precarious by ensuring that he also had short-term measures: "Concretely, an energy check and free public transport for the next six months."

For the leader of the Greens, "ecology is today the best ally of purchasing power".

For several weeks, Yannick Jadot has had to face the pressure of the useful vote on the left, the rebellious leader is better placed in the polls, but the leader of the greens affirms that "in no poll, Jean-Luc Mélenchon reaches the second turn", before adding: "The useful vote is ecology".

In Lyon on Friday, Yannick Jadot assured that he would call without "any ambiguity" to vote against the far right if it reached the second round on Sunday evening.
