Park Ji-hyeon, chairman of the Democratic Party's Joint Emergency Response Countermeasures Committee, made a remark in relation to the application of candidates for regional government heads in the June 1 local elections, which ended yesterday (7th), saying, "I am concerned about whether reflection and renewal is possible in the Democratic Party."

Chairman Park Ji-hyeon, in the remarks of the Democratic Party Emergency Response Committee held at the National Assembly today, said, "I took on the role of the Democratic Party's Joint Emergency Response Committee Chairman for the party's innovation."

He also pointed out, "When I saw the list of applications for the heads of regional elections for the local elections yesterday, I couldn't help but ponder whether reflection and renewal is possible in the Democratic Party."

He continued, "We handed over the government due to the failure of the real estate policy. However, those who disappointed the people with the real estate issue registered preliminary candidates. .

It is interpreted as targeting not only Song Young-gil, a former leader of the party, but also Park Ju-min, who announced his candidacy for mayor of Seoul, and Roh Young-min, former chief of staff of the president, who challenged the Chungbuk governor.

Chairman Park insisted that candidates who had previously caused a 'real estate scandal' should be filtered out in the nomination process.

Rep. Park Ju-min was in controversy over the '3rd Law on Leases', and former Deputy Director Noh Young-min was in the process of disposing of multiple houses.

Chairman Park said, "Is the Democratic Party really the party that lost the presidential election and is it prepared to reflect and take responsibility?

He also appealed, "I beg the Nomination Management Committee to make a nomination that supports the people in the presidential election with the spirit of cutting off my flesh for party reform and victory in local elections, and a reform nomination that escapes paternalism."

Also, he emphasized, "Even if we lose, we have a chance if we reflect on it. However, if we show the image of what we have done wrong like now, the results of the local elections will be very important," he emphasized.

It also set a point for voices from some within the party saying, "Isn't there an alternative?" for Song's candidacy, etc.

Chairman Park said, "We need to calmly ask ourselves whether there are really no candidates, or whether we have not made efforts to find good candidates to protect our declining vested interests."

Chairman Park also said, "Many candidates are conducting 'Lee Jae-myung marketing' to create public opinion favorable to them. said.

Chairman Park said, "Advisor Lee Jae-myung supports fair competition, not a specific candidate."

Chairman Park reiterated, "Now we are having an election, not a bet on who is closer with Jae-myung Lee."
