The election for the People's Power floor leader was a confrontation between Rep. Seong-dong Kwon, the so-called 'Kwan Yoon' and Hae-jin Jo, the 'non-nuclear officer'.

Rep. Kwon was elected as the new floor leader with the support of more than 80% of the voting members.

As a close aide to Yoon Seok-yeol, the new floor leader, Kwon, who is the fourth in office, participated in the camp from the internal party primary and became the first contributor to victory in the presidential election.

In last year's floor leader election, Kwon, who was eliminated in the first round, won a landslide victory, which is interpreted as reflecting the opinion of lawmakers that communication between party governments is essential for the success of the Yun Seok-yeol government.

Representative Kwon said he would support the operation of state affairs and would not shy away from his bitter voices.

President-elect Yoon made a congratulatory phone call right after the election and said that we should work together to make the party government a one-team for the people only with a breath of fantasy.

Kwon, the floor leader, emphasized cooperation with the opposition party, saying that the only way to break through the political situation is to gain public support.

The Democratic Party said it expects cooperation and asked to become a 'people's nuclear officer', a key official in the people's heart, and the Justice Party asked for national unity and multi-party coalition politics.

The road ahead for Kwon Seong-dong is not simple.

Currently, there are pending issues that require the help of large opposition parties, such as the hearing of the Prime Minister and State Council member candidates, the second supplementary budget bill by the National Assembly, and the revision of the Government Organization Act to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
