China News Service, April 8. According to Japan's Fuji News Network, on the 8th, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced a series of additional sanctions against Russia, including a ban on the import of coal from Russia.

  According to reports, the additional sanctions announced by Kishida mainly include: prohibiting the import of coal, vodka, machinery products and some timber from Russia; prohibiting new investment in Russia; freezing the assets of Sberbank and Alpha Bank.

  Earlier, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that in view of the situation in Russia and Ukraine, Japan decided to expel eight Russian diplomats.

In this regard, Kishida said that the move was "a comprehensive judgment (the result) in view of the current situation in Ukraine."
