A statement published by Hamas said that Haniyeh congratulated Hazem on the martyrdom of his son, considering the operation he carried out as a victory for Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa and the martyrs of Palestine.

Hamas also said that the attack was a legitimate response to the escalation of the occupation and its crimes against the Palestinian people, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

For its part, the Islamic Jihad movement said that the return of guerrilla operations inside Israel is a result of the aggression that crossed all borders.
