"The club has initiated a procedure which is in progress. The president and the directors have intervened on this. The player was excused from training this week and I think that the club will communicate once the procedure is advanced. After c It's the legal department that will manage that", explained the northern technician in conference, without ever specifying the nature of the procedure or quoting the name of Ben Arfa.

"A player behaved inappropriately inside the locker room. It was difficult to understand and for me maybe even more so, because I had a lot of affection for this player, really. But the president (Olivier Létang, editor's note) has a rule: we do not touch the club, the team and the coach", he continued.

"From my position as a coach, as a trainer, it is impossible to let go of something that can alter the unity of the team, the group, the locker room. For me there is no debate, because there is no There is nothing and no one above Losc", concluded Gourvennec, specifying that "the player was excused from training this week".

After the disappointing draw against Bordeaux (0-0) on Saturday at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Hatem Ben Arfa would have had an altercation in the locker room with the Portuguese defender Tiago Djalo according to Téléfoot.

The midfielder would then have verbally attacked Jorge Maciel, the assistant coach, and especially Gourvennec towards whom he would have had very harsh words.

Ben Arfa (35), who had been free since leaving Bordeaux last summer, signed up with Losc at the end of January until the end of the season.

The former player of Lyon, Marseille, Rennes and Paris SG, has delivered only one assist in the seven games he has played since his arrival in the North.
