After months of serious economic crisis, leading to monster shortages, Sri Lankan demonstrators have once again demanded the departure of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, this Friday, April 8, 2022. It has been more than a week since the city of Colombo has been taken over by the angry people.

This Friday, no less than ten different rallies were organized in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
On the Liberté roundabout, new technology workers were protesting against power cuts, which paralyze their computer activity.
Near the university, student unions were demonstrating for the future of Sri Lankan youth.
On Lipton Circus, it was the LGBT community that was displayed.
Everywhere, motorists honk their horns in support of the demonstrators.
No political party is in charge.

".
Their rallying point: the very symbolic Place de l'Indépendance, occupied for a week without stopping.
This Saturday, a large demonstration is planned on the Galle Face seaside promenade.
The police, who have made numerous arrests, are now letting things happen.
As if the power had understood that the movement initiated within the population could no longer be defeated by force.
