Dubai Municipality: The emirate's markets are free of contaminated Kinder chocolate

Dubai Municipality confirmed that the emirate's markets are free of contaminated Kinder chocolate, and that the producing company has withdrawn the affected product from local markets as a precaution.

In response to the inquiries of "Emirates Today", the municipality explained that it had received the withdrawal of the "Kander Egg" chocolate product from the British market due to its contamination with salmonella, which caused cases of poisoning in Britain, most of whom were children.

It should be noted that the product specifically affected is Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 g, which expires on October 1, 2022.

The municipality confirmed that the affected product does not exist in the markets of the Emirate of Dubai, and that the company that owns the brand "Kinder", the Emirates branch, has withdrawn the affected product from the local markets as a precaution.

Dubai Municipality said that no injuries were reported due to this product, and the municipality is also constantly monitoring all food products to ensure their safety and suitability for consumption, including chocolate products.
