China News Service, April 8. According to the Philippine "World Daily" WeChat public account "Philippines Express", on April 7, local time, the Malacañang Palace, the presidential palace of the Philippines, stated that as long as the test is done by professional medical personnel , travelers can now enter the Philippines with a negative rapid antigen test certificate.

The government's Interagency Anti-epidemic Task Force (IATF) previously only recognized antigen test results issued by laboratories.

Acting presidential spokesman Martin Andana said the new policy now covers rapid antigen test results from medical institutions, pharmacies, clinics or other similar institutions in the traveler's country of departure.

In addition, the anti-epidemic working group also recognized the new crown vaccination certificates of Bangladesh, Mexico, Panama, and the Slovak Republic for the needs of entry and inter-regional and intra-regional travel.

In an effort to revive an economy battered by the coronavirus pandemic, the Philippines in April allowed travelers who have completed two doses of the vaccine to enter quarantine-free.

The anti-epidemic task force no longer requires foreigners to show entry exemption documents, as long as they meet visa and immigration requirements and show official vaccination certificates.
