The money for the food for the more than 250 people in the accommodation is deducted from the Ukrainian refugees' "daily allowance".

The food is prepared down in Småland and then transported to Boden where it is heated.

The residents do not have access to a kitchen, kettle or the like and are completely dependent on the food served.

They are grateful for the support and care from Sweden with appeals to the review of the food.

- We want to point out that we are mainly concerned about the quality and freshness, the residents write in a letter to the Swedish Migration Board.

Boy was taken to the emergency room

Several times, residents have tried to talk to the staff to draw attention to the fact that there has been a case of suspected food poisoning.

Last week, the situation became sharp when a boy was taken by ambulance to the emergency room in Sunderbyn after severe vomiting.

According to residents, the care staff must have established that it was food poisoning.

- Many have had vomiting and diarrhea, says Tetyana Boiko who is a lawyer from Kyiv.

In a letter that residents have handed over to the Swedish Migration Board, they emphasize gratitude for the support and care they receive.

But they also want to emphatically express the concern that has spread over the substandard food.
