On August 6 last year, Robert Karlsson was attacked with sheet metal scissors outside his home in Luleå.

Immediately after the incident, he pointed out the 32-year-old as the perpetrator.

The 32-year-old denied during the entire trial in the district court that he was the one who carried out the attack and appeared in the films that the witnesses took.

On Thursday, the negotiations start in the Court of Appeal, where he now admits that he is in the movies.

Defense: This is not about attempted murder

The defense also submits new evidence which they believe shows that the 32-year-old never made any death threats against the plaintiff.

They also refer to a forensic medical opinion that says it was far from life-threatening injuries, as well as a statement about the 32-year-old's mental condition.

The Judicial Council has said that my client was not, says the man's defender Frida Larsson.
