Almbyskolan is the fourth primary school in Örebro where the staff is trained in the worst of scenarios that can occur.

Even long before the terrible event in Malmö two weeks ago, the training was planned.

As early as 2018, all upper secondary schools had been allowed to attend the training aimed at the staff.

The pandemic and the difficulties of getting to physical activities of this kind have stopped the development, but now Örebro municipality wants to get the ball rolling again and an even better continuity in these security issues.

Action plan developed

- The idea is that this should be a natural part and be alive in the operations and not become an everyday thing where you act when something has happened, says David Sundberg, safety coordinator at Örebro municipality.

In Örebro, they have come a long way and developed an action plan for PDV (Ongoing lethal violence) in high school.

Now the municipality is looking for days and which schools in the future will receive the same educational efforts in primary school.
