The outgoing president is down to 26% of voting intentions, against 28% a week ago, while the candidate of the National Rally rises to 22% against 20%.

The rebellious Jean-Luc Mélenchon also climbs to stand at 17% against 15%.

In the second round, the gap is also narrowing: Emmanuel Macron would win against Marine Le Pen by 53-47% against 55-45% a week ago.

All the other candidates are below the 10% mark: LR candidate Valérie Pécresse and far-right polemicist Eric Zemmour both lose one point to 9%.

Yadot at 5%, Roussel and Lassalle at 3%
