The number of daily COVID-19 cases in China reached an all-time high for three days.



The National Health Commission of China said yesterday (6th) that the number of new corona19 infections in China recorded 22,995 a day.



In China, after 16,412 people on the 4th and 20,472 on the 5th, the new high yesterday too, Corona 19 is spreading rapidly.



In particular, in Shanghai, 19,982 people were infected, with the number of infected people approaching 20,000.



Authorities in China are rushing to build temporary hospitals to accommodate mild and asymptomatic patients as the cumulative number of infections in Shanghai exceeds 100,000.



Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces near Shanghai also decided to build temporary hospitals to provide 60,000 beds.



The National Health Commission announced that it will maintain the 'zero corona' policy for the time being as the spread continues in Shanghai and Jilin Province.



Spokesperson Mi Peng said, "With the rapid spread of COVID-19 in China, the dynamic zero-corona policy must be adhered to without change.



Chinese experts also stressed the need for a zero-corona policy, saying that the fatality rate of omicron mutations is much higher than that of diseases such as the flu.



“The fatality rate of COVID-19 in Hong Kong is about 0.7%, which is significantly higher than the seasonal flu,” said Wang Gui-chang, director of Peking University First Hospital.
