Roch Marc Christian Kaboré is back home

, surrounded by his family.

According to a source close to the former president, he is in good health, happy to return to his home.

The Patte d'Oie district is quiet this Thursday morning.

On the walls of the nearby airport compound, you can read inscribed in blue paint "liberate Roch".

A wish now granted, even if the return of the former president was done discreetly.

His residence is guarded by a handful of soldiers.

“

To ensure his safety

 ”, explain the authorities.

“

It is rather to maintain his captivity

, indignantly close to the former president.

He is still under house arrest, but at home

 , ”concludes this source.

In its press release, the Burkinabè government explains that this decision comes after "

consultations which lasted nearly three weeks

 ".

By this gesture, the authorities respond in any case to one of the requirements of ECOWAS.

In March, the sub-regional organization called for the "

 unconditional and immediate release

 " of the former president.

A delegation from ECOWAS was in Ouagadougou last week to discuss the transition with the Burkinabè authorities.
