The Municipal Police arrested last Tuesday in the district of Villaverde Alto (Madrid) a 47-year-old Moroccan man, accused of mistreating and hitting his partner, 41 years old and also Moroccan, and his two children

under the influence of psychotropic substances

.

It is suspected that it is one of the first cases in Spain of sexist violence with the aggravating circumstance of chemical submission.

The agents discovered the case after arresting the father, who allegedly

put a pink substance in the tea and food to subdue his family members.

The woman and the two children were transferred to the October 12 Hospital, where they were admitted, activating the protocol for chemical submission that is usually launched in cases of sexual assault.

The intervention of the agents of the Comprehensive Unit of the Municipal Police of Villaverde began after the 092 station received

a notice from a neighbor of the property for a fight between a father and his

minor son.

The police officers appeared on Calle de Godella and went up to the building where the incident took place.

They rang the bell and

the father of the family opened the door for them.

One of the agents questioned the man separately, who told them that what he had had was a strong argument with his wife, not with his son, alleging that they

were “family matters”

.

At the same time, the other agent spoke with his wife in another room of the house.

She recounted that she was pushed by her husband against the wall and hit on the head.

She added that

the ill-treatment was frequent

and that, in addition, she had observed that in the tea and the meals she had found a pink substance with a very bitter taste and that she often felt unwell and dizzy after eating these foods.

Seeing the turn of the matter, more police officers appeared at the house.

Another of the 13-year-old sons was in the house, who also told the Municipal Police that his father regularly insulted his mother, saying: "

Useless, I brought you from Morocco, otherwise you wouldn't have any money, you have to do what let me tell you...».

The minor added that they had also noticed a substance in the meals that caused him and his little brother great discomfort.

At that moment, the mother entered the room where the child was with the agent, carrying bags containing the strange substance to which both had previously referred.

Both the woman and the son did not know what the matter was, but told the agents that it was the elements that the head of the family had been spreading in the food and drink for a few weeks.

In addition, the woman told the agents that she had found the substances in

another room of the house that her husband always kept closed

and where all family members were prohibited from entering.

Finally, the man was arrested by the Municipal Police accused of an alleged crime of gender violence and

another crime against public health

for using a substance, still undetermined, to annul the will of his wife and children.

The Municipal Police officers

went to the school to pick up the couple's other youngest son,

10 years old, who was in class.

Subsequently, the Municipal Police transferred the mother and her two children to the Hospital 12 de Octubre, where the chemical submission protocol was initiated for both the mother and the minors.

Once in the health center, the municipal police officers who acted were relieved by another crew that was in charge of continuing with the surveillance and custody of the family.

The two minors were transferred to the pediatric emergency room, and

the mother, after entering the general emergency room, was admitted.

The Municipal Police made a report of the case and delivered the proceedings to the National Police station in the district of Usera Villaverde.
