A man in his 30s is suspected of having murdered his father in Borlänge

It was in November last year that a man was found dead in his home just outside Borlänge.

Shortly afterwards, a man in his 30s was arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder, and has been in custody ever since.

The son admits that he was at the scene and inflicted some damage on his father, but claims that it happened in self-defense.

- After a thorough investigation of the death, I believe that it is possible to prove that the accused son killed his father and I believe that the circumstances indicate that it could not have happened in self-defense, says chamber prosecutor Eva-Lena Jansson who led the preliminary investigation in a press release.
