China News Service, April 6. According to Agence France-Presse, US Secretary of State Blinken announced on the 5th local time that the United States will provide Ukraine with an additional $100 million in military assistance, including anti-armor weapons systems.

  According to reports, Blinken said in a statement that he had authorized security assistance worth up to $100 million to meet Ukraine's urgent need for additional anti-armor systems, based on instructions from the presidential delegation earlier on the 5th.

  In a separate statement, Defense Department spokesman John Kirby said the additional aid would be used "to meet Ukraine's urgent need for a 'Javelin' anti-armor weapon system."

  Earlier on April 1, local time, the U.S. Department of Defense stated that the U.S. would provide Ukraine with additional military assistance worth $300 million.

  The report also said that Kirby said that, together with the latest $100 million in military aid, since Russia launched its military operation against Ukraine, the United States has provided more than $1.7 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.

The U.S. has pledged more than $2.4 billion worth of security assistance to Ukraine since this administration.
