To hit the slopes cheaply on Sunday April 10 in the ski resort of Les Gets, in Haute-Savoie, you will need to have voted in the presidential election.

The station indeed offers voters to ski for one euro on the day of the first round, provided that they have slipped a ballot into the ballot box beforehand.

This operation entitled "All skitoyens" aims to fight against abstention, the rate of which could be record this year for the presidential election.

On presentation of the voter's card or the receipt of a power of attorney

Usually, the station sells a day pass at 37.40 euros.

Its price will be reduced to one euro for all ski enthusiasts who vote on April 10.

For this, they will have to present their voter's card stamped with the date of the day or the receipt of a power of attorney signed by the administration.

The station "wishes to encourage skiers to take part in the ballot (...) because practicing your favorite leisure on Sunday is not incompatible with that of performing a civic act", she explains on her website.

Les Gets announce that this operation will also be valid "for pedestrians who will take advantage of the gondolas to discover the walks and the magnificent panorama of the Mont-Blanc range."
