In the Élysée 2022 program broadcast Tuesday evening on France 2, the NPA candidate spoke about the multiplicity of applications to the far left.

If he admits having little hope of qualifying in the second round, he intends to rebuild after the presidential election, a current of ideas in collaboration with Nathalie Arthaud or Fabien Roussel.

"No, we don't believe it".

In the program Élysée 2022, broadcast Tuesday evening on France 2, Philippe Poutou expressed the prospects for the New Capitalist Party (NPA) once the presidential election is over.

The far-left candidate, who caps at 1.5% of voting intentions in the latest polls, admits having little hope of qualifying in the second round.

However, he wishes to continue to mobilize left-wing voters and develop a current of ideas in collaboration with his current competitors, Nathalie Arthaud and Fabien Roussel.

“We must also recognize that there are also differences and particularities for each other, but once the election is over, we are arched so that there can be meetings between all these parties, to discuss concretely what we are doing now, because there the most probable prospect unfortunately is a victory for Macron or even the far right...", he concedes.

"The next step for us is the ability […] to rebuild political tools"

To the question of a possible victory for the left, the NPA candidate replies frankly: "no, we don't believe in it, we don't rule it out because everything is possible but most likely it will be bad news".
