On Tuesday, a teacher in Gällivare municipality was suspended from his job for placing cameras in the students' locker rooms.

Already the same evening, guardians and school staff were called to a meeting where the police also participated.

Worried questions

One question that hung heavily in the air was the questions of whether any children were photographed and whether these images may have been spread.

- There were questions about it at the meeting and I understand that you are worried and worried, but we do not know at the moment how it is with it.

If the pictures have been spread, it is terrible, says Jenny Jänkänpää.

"I'm shocked and pissed off"

How do you react to the event yourself?

- I am shocked and angry that something like this can happen in school that should be the students' safe environment.

Student health is on site to support students, guardians and staff.

Control of other schools

The police have begun an investigation but currently have no new information to disclose.

The school management is now examining other schools in Gällivare municipality to make sure that there is nothing similar in other schools.

- We do it as a security-creating measure, but we have no indications that it would be so, says Jenny Jänkänpää.
