Valérie Pécresse (LR) and Eric Zemmour (Reconquête!) disputed on Wednesday the ability to achieve a "union of rights" the day after the election for the legislative elections.

"I will be a candidate, but I will be in the second round" of the presidential election assured Zemmour, while Valérie Pécresse called him "Mr. 8:01 p.m."

Presidential candidates Valérie Pécresse (LR) and Eric Zemmour (Reconquête!) disputed on Wednesday the ability to achieve a "union of the rights" the day after the ballot for the legislative elections.

"I will be a candidate, but I will be in the second round" of the presidential election, assured Eric Zemmour on Tuesday evening, affirming, visibly troubled, that he "would not abandon the people who (him) trusted", while he was revived on the prospect of a candidacy for the legislative elections.

“On April 25 in the morning, I will be either President of the Republic or Leader of the Opposition”

“On April 25 in the morning, I will be either President of the Republic or Leader of the Opposition,” he said on Wednesday morning on France Inter.

"I will finally make this reconciliation of rights that nobody wants to do, neither Marine Le Pen nor Mrs. Pécresse. I am the only one" to be able to do it.

Candidate LR considered that by speaking thus, Eric Zemmour "acts his defeat" in the presidential election.

"He will be Mr. 8:01 p.m.: he will call for Marine Le Pen to vote and will run for the legislative elections under his colors".

"Today, the only possible union of rights is around me", chained the candidate, questioned about the possibility that she could be the head of such a union of rights, even if she assured that she would be elected president.

Valérie Pécresse is credited with 8.5% of voting intentions in the first round of the presidential election by an Ipsos SopraSteria poll published on Wednesday, behind Eric Zemmour (10%), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (16%), Marine Le Pen (21, 5%) and Emmanuel Macron (26.5%).

"The 'at the same time', always and everywhere, is immobility"

"The poaching campaign (of elected from the right by the RN and Reconquest!, Editor's note) finally made pschitt", still welcomed the candidate LR.

"Today there is a right of convictions in this country, not a right of small post-election combinations", and "it is the majority", she insisted.

His right is "a real government right, the one Emmanuel Macron is afraid of", a right that has "real unity", "republican, strong on order", not that of "disorder and bankruptcy" represented according to her by Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour.

She also denounced the "zigzags" of Emmanuel Macron, while the president hunts on the lands of the left and the right: "The 'at the same time', always and everywhere, is immobility" .

Could she work with Emmanuel Macron?

"No," she assured.

Will she call to vote for him in the event of a Macron/Le Pen second round?

“I call to vote for me,” she replied.
