A published tweet can not be changed.

But - now there may be a change in this.

Tesla billionaire Elon Musk recently bought 9.2 percent of the social media company, and asked followers what they thought: Should one be able to change a published tweet or not?

The majority answered yes.

Now Twitter itself has also gone out and confirmed that it plans to introduce such a feature, and also writes that they "did not get the idea from a vote".

There is concern among Twitter users that the decision will impair transparency, that, for example, politicians will subsequently be able to change the messages in already published tweets, and thus impair the possibility of holding them accountable for what they have claimed.
