A drone documenting the "massacre" of Bucha... Video

A video clip published by the American newspaper "New York Times" showed Russian forces shooting a cyclist, which the newspaper said is new evidence of the atrocities committed during the Russian army's occupation of the town of Bucha, northwest of Kyiv.

The clip, verified by the New York Times, shows a person riding a bicycle on a street in Bucha, before getting off the bike and on his feet with his bike before reaching another street where Russian soldiers are deployed.

As soon as the person reached a bend that leads to the street where the Russians are deployed, a Russian armored vehicle started shooting at the cyclist, followed by another armored vehicle shooting as well.

The person cannot be seen because he has disappeared behind the buildings, but smoke is clearly visible from the scene, according to the newspaper, which indicated that the clip was filmed in early March by a Ukrainian drone when the Russian army was controlling the city.

She adds that after the Russian army withdrew from Bucha, a body in civilian clothes was photographed with a bicycle in the same place.

In the video, a dead body appears with a concrete pillar destroyed by a heavy machine gun near it, while the clothes of the murdered person who appeared in the first clip correspond to the clothes worn by the owner of the corpse, according to the newspaper.

In the footage taken by the drone, it was clear that the Russian armored vehicles were "BMD-4", which are usually equipped with 100 mm and 30 mm machine guns.

The newspaper indicated that more than 20 Russian military vehicles were stationed near the two armored vehicles, which fired at the cyclist.

And she added that the military convoy was stationed at the intersection of Yablonska Street, where the New York Times documented the presence of more than 12 bodies.

Satellite imagery confirmed that people were killed in March while Russian forces were in control of the city, with the new video confirming the presence of a Russian convoy at the place where many of those bodies were found.

Ukraine accused the Russian military of carrying out a massacre of residents of Bucha, an area outside the capital Kyiv which Russian forces occupied for several weeks before withdrawing.

And called on Western countries to punish those responsible for killing civilians.

Since the withdrawal of Russian forces from towns and villages surrounding the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, Ukrainian forces have shown journalists the bodies of what they described as civilians killed by Russian forces, destroyed homes and burned cars.
