5.1-magnitude earthquake strikes SW China

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted southwest China's Sichuan Province today.

The Chinese Earthquake Networks Center said that the quake hit Shengun County, Yibin City, in the province, on Wednesday morning, with a depth of 10 kilometers.

The Information Office of Shingon Prefecture confirmed that there were no reports of injuries or obstruction of traffic in the prefecture.
