At the end of August 2018, a 41-year-old man was murdered in Årbyskogen in Eskilstuna.

He had been shot several times - in the head, neck and other parts of the body.

A 35-year-old man has now been convicted of murder and a today 24-year-old man has been convicted of attempted felony.

Both were previously acquitted by the district court because the court considered that the evidence was not sufficient.

However, the case was appealed to the Court of Appeal, but since it took several complicated turns, the negotiations were postponed until March this year.

Among other things, it turned out that the police used evidence that came from a man who claims to be a police informant.

The man also said that his story was influenced in some parts by the police investigators.

Since the police's intelligence activities are secret, the prosecutor suspects that he was not allowed to take part in all the information, something he criticized the police for.

Serves punishment

The 35-year-old is already serving a 12-year prison sentence for attempted murder in connection with a shooting in the district of Råbergstorp in Eskilstuna in May last year.

The 24-year-old was recently charged with attempted murder and aggravated weapon crime after a similar incident in the same district in October last year.
